Day 113 April 23
Nothing pretty or lovely today, but when I drove past this I knew it had to be the picture of the day. All during the winter the snow plows push the snow over the edge of the hill across from our school and during the winter a mountain of snow forms. This is what is left of the mountain of snow. It has decreased some, but this is what's left that has to melt before I can offically say we are into summer. All of this is snow and dirt and anything else that may have gotten plowed up during the winter. It is not a pretty sight, just part of "break-up" in Alaska!

Wow, that's an impressive pile! I guess the snowplow workers there don't have to worry about losing their jobs! It was upper 80s here today - wish we were there!
ReplyDeleteWow that is some pile!! you should take the girls there every 2 weeks or so and get a shot of the shrinking pile to document it.
