Didn't get to post the last two days. We're in Anchorage. Took the 12 hour ferry trip across Prince William Sound. Normally a 3.5 hour ride on the fast ferry, but they had a mechanical so the slow ferry came and we had to go through Valdez and then to Whittier. Had my check engine light come on so I had to have my car serviced today. Not the way I wanted to spend that money, but at least it is fixed now. After dinner we went for a walk around my friend's neighborhood. Got these pictures during the walk.
That is one LONG ferry ride! You can almost fly to China from CA in tha time! That bird is gorgeous! I've never seen one like that.
